Tanoshii Tanka for everyone

$5.00 per meeting / $3.00 for Tomo No Kai members

Tanka is the oldest form of poetry in Japan, over 1,300 years old. Tanka means short song and was originally performed as songs. So what is tanka? It is simply an unrhymed five line verse. Today these range from love, to despair, political environmental issues, to puppies & kittens and family topics. You can bring your personality out with tanka and have fun with it!

Genie Nakano has had much of her poetry published in a variety of publications.  Join Genie on the last Thursday of every month for Tanoshii Tanka for Everyone.

Come and visit!
