ABOUT OUR BENTO VENDOR: Painter's Tape

Painter’s Tape is a meal prep and food delivery service based in Gardena, CA. The food is inspired by the City of Los Angeles and its diverse blend of soulful immigrant influences. Our aim is to make a positive impact in our community by making the most delicious and nutritious food we can for our friends and neighbors. We are people who insist on caring for our loved ones and believe that the good things in life are meant to be shared. We value honest food created by respecting our ingredients, our process and our people. Our offerings follow the seasons, from our ingredient driven preparations of our locally sourced produce. We set out to create a neighborhood food delivery service where we can best serve our community. Painter’s Tape serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the South Bay of Los Angeles.　

Owner Chef Atsushi Takatsuki is a Gardena native and the founder of Painter’s Tape. He began his education at The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco followed by an apprenticeship in France and training in New York City. Together with his family in Los Angeles, he is sharing his craft inspired by his childhood, his travels and his surroundings.

The GVJCI Senior Bento Program is coming back, and we need your help! As the cost of goods and services continues to rise, we’re looking for ways to help subsidize the cost of bento lunches for our senior participants.

By donating to our Bento Buddies program, you can help lower the cost of a senior’s bento by 50%.

That means a $14 bento will only cost a senior $7!

ガーデナ平原日本文化会館シニア弁当プログラムが再開するにあたって、皆様にご協力をお願いします。物品、サービスなどの価格高騰が続く中、シニア参加者のお弁当ランチ提供のために補助金を募っています。

この弁当バディプログラムによってシニアのお弁当が50％オフになります。

これにより$14のお弁当がシニアには、$7になります。　

Historically, our bento program has served approximately 30-45 bentos each weekday for seniors 60 years and older. As our Tomo No Kai senior weekday classes continue to grow, we need ongoing financial support to help provide low cost bento lunches.
これまで、私たちの弁当プログラムは週日毎日約30－45個のお弁当を60歳以上のシニアの方々に提供してきました。友の会シニアクラスに参加される方が増えていく中で、シニアの方々に低価格ランチ弁当を提供し続けるために経済的支援が必要です。
