ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

To most young adults, the terms "Last Will and Testament" and "Living Trust" conjure up images of families sitting around in a stuffy old mansion as a silver-haired attorney finally reveals who will inherit the family fortune. The most common misconception about Estate Planning (which is the process of creating legal documents like a Will and a Trust) is that you have to be wealthy or elderly to get your affairs in order. But that's simply not the case. This complimentary Estate Planning 101 workshop addresses when you should start this process and how it can be utilized to protect your loved ones and your future.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Toji Law was founded in 2018 by Staci (Yamashita-Iida) Toji, an Estate Planning attorney dedicated to helping families of all generations plan for their future. She opened the firm after holding a junior partner position at an Estate Planning firm in Los Angeles.

Born and raised in Torrance, Staci attended North High School. From there, she graduated from Loyola Marymount University magna cum laude as a Valedictorian Finalist and Leadership Scholar. She then advanced to Southwestern Law School's two-year accelerated Program where she was a member of the Law Journal Honors Program.

Within the community, Staci sits on the Board of Directors for Go For Broke National Education Center. She is also actively involved with U.S.-Japan Council and the Japanese American Bar Association. In addition, she has regularly contributed articles to the JACL Pacific Citizen and Rafu Shimpo.

When she's not at the office, Staci enjoys fishing, skiing, and hiking in Mammoth with her husband and their two German Shepherds. She is also an avid hula dancer with Hālau Keali‘i O Nālani and has competed and performed all around the world for 25+ years. She is an annual competitor at the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival in Hilo, Hawai‘i and has most notably performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Disneyland, and Osaka-jō Hall in Osaka, Japan.
