The Annual GVJCI Matsuri Fundraiser is one of our highlights that we look forward to each June. Due to the pandemic, we held our Matsuri virtually the last two years. While we would have loved to bring our full Matsuri back this year, the health and safety of our community continues to be our priority so we decided to hold a hybrid Matsuri bento fundraiser.
The 2022 GVJCI Matsuri Bento-To-Go Fundraiser is a way that the GVJCI can continue to raise funds that would normally be raised at our annual matsuri, our largest fundraiser each year, beginning from now through the end of June. 毎年６月に行われるガーデナ平原日本文化会館まつりは私たちが楽しみにしているハイライトのひとつです。パンデミックの影響で、過去２年間はまつりの開催を見合わせました。今年こそは恒例通りまつりを開催したいところですが、コミュニティーの健康と安全を第一に考え、ハイブリッドまつり弁当募金活動を開催することにしました。 2022年ガーデナ平原日本文化会館まつり弁当募金活動は、毎年最大の募金活動であるイベントで６月末までの間、この募金活動を継続し募金を募っています。 |

There are two ways you can help!
Pre-order a special Matsuri bento online via the button above, select a pick up time & pay online, then pick up your bento at the GVJCI on Saturday, June 25. Bento will be handmade by our Matsuri volunteers at GVJCI on June 25th, just like past Matsuri. Don't forget that we'll have an on-site PLANT SALE during the event on June 25th! We will be following the current LA County Department of Public Health COVID guidelines at the Matsuri Bento & T-Shirt pick ups.
Those who donate a minimum additional amount of $50 have the option of receiving a 2022 commemorative t-shirt gift. Each additional $50 donation qualifies for another t-shirt. T-shirt gifts available for qualified donations received through June 30, 2022.
T-SHIRT PICK UP at the GVJCI is scheduled for the week of July 18, 2022 and is subject to change.

T-shirts are available in Men’s, Women's and Youth sizes and are only available in black. 2022 GVJCI Matsuri Bento-To-Go graphic is printed on the back of the t-shirt. The GVJCI logo will be on the front, left chest. T-shirt is 100% cotton.
Please make checks payable to GVJCI, note Matsuri on your check, complete the form below and return your completed form to 2022 GVJCI Matsuri, 1964 W. 162nd St., Gardena, CA 90247. You can also donate online by visiting our website on the Matsuri tab. As a 501(c)(3) your donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Your support helps the GVJCI manage through these challenging times and allows us to continue to support our community. Normally, we would sell pre-sale tickets that would be used at our annual Matsuri. We humbly ask that for this year, in lieu of purchasing pre-sale tickets, that you would consider purchasing our pre-sale bento and/or making an additional donation. Our goal is to raise over $55,000, which is more than last year but still significantly less than our normal Matsuri, and we can only do that with support from our GVJCI family and friends. We are hoping to pre-sell 1,200 bento and raise an additional $35,000+ in donations. Thank you for helping us reach our goal!
