Live Music featuring Haruka Ishii & Minami Suda
Haruka Ishii is a singer-songwriter born and raised in the South Bay, where her passion for music began at a young age. Since 2020, she has been sharing her original music, including tracks like “Baby,” “Running,” and “Unspoken,” which are available on streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
Haruka recently graduated as a Posse Scholar from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Consumer Behavior & Marketplace Studies and Communication Arts: Radio, TV, and Film Track, with a minor in Japanese Professional Communications. During her time at UW-Madison, she served as Membership Coordinator, followed by Co-President of the Japanese Student Association. Haruka is currently working towards her goal of becoming a Music Supervisor.
In the summer of 2023, Haruka took on the role of Marketing and Social Media Intern at GVJCI, an experience that deepened her connection to the organization and allowed her to form lasting friendships with the interns and staff.

Minami Suda is a solo and collaborative artist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from University of California, Irvine. During her time at UCI, she served as the accompanist for UCI Choir and Ballet.
She started playing the piano under the tutelage of Naomi Ozawa when she was 6, and is currently 22 years old. She has competed and placed in many competitions such as Junior Bach Festival, SYMF, JMAC Lighthouse, Scholarship Audition, Composers Today, and many more.
She has been teaching piano to youths for 6 years and is currently teaching at multiple music studios. She enjoys sharing her passion for music with her students and hopes to expand her own studio after college. She plans on going to graduate school for Piano Performance in Southern California.
