In the past, many of you supported us through our Building Fund, which paid for capital improvements and major repairs. Your support last year helped to pay for the total replacement of ceiling acoustic tiles in the GVJCI Nisei Veterans Memorial Hall (NVMH), as well as new entrance doors for the upstairs and downstairs of the main building. Each year, we experience an increase in the amount of major repairs, replacements, and expenses for our facilities and grounds that are over 50 years old.

This year, we plan to refurbish both the main hall and NVMH wood floors for our GVJCI member organizations and community members to enjoy! We had more items on our facilities to-do list, which we postponed due to our temporary closure and loss of revenue.

As you can imagine, closing our doors in March has stopped our facility usage and outside event rentals. In addition, our programs transitioned to only online classes and workshops with a significant decrease in participation.

We depend on both of these areas to help defray some of our daily operational expenses. To recover some of this loss, we have increased our fundraising efforts and grant-writing, and have received generous donations from many of you.
We ask for your help again with this 2021 Year-End Raffle & Donation Appeal!

2 WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

1)
Purchase GVJCI year-end raffle tickets.
If you are on our snail mailing list, you will receive your tickets in the mail in November or earlier, otherwise, please contact our office at info@jci-gardena.org if you would like to purchase raffle tickets.
2) Donate an additional monetary gift, which is tax deductible as a Charitable Contribution. If you would like to see GVJCI continue serving the community of people young and old, please help us along this path by making an additional tax deductible gift of $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more.

Thank you very much for your support throughout the years. We wish you and your family a healthy, safe, and joyous holiday season! And we look forward to when we all can be together again soon!
